Directing a story that works without a single word
The Art of Renewal follows the olive-curing process from raw fruit to finished jar. Every direction decision serves calm: shot durations vary with the emotional weight of each step rather than cutting on an even beat, transitions are soft blur fades and slow zooms, and warm highlights carry the Mediterranean light from the moodboard through to the finished grade. I chose to leave narration out entirely, so the visuals and natural sound do the work. Storyboarded, directed, filmed, edited and finished by me.
